Soccer Game Preview: Des Moines Christian vs. Panorama

Des Moines Christian has gone a perfect 5-0 against Panorama recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Des Moines Christian is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering North Polk just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Comets. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Des Moines Christian's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Panorama was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 6-2 to Creston.

Panorama's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Des Moines Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Des Moines Christian took their win against Panorama in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
