Softball Recap: Montgomery County Comes Up Short

Montgomery County entered their matchup against Fatima on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wildcats fell 6-1 to the Comets. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Comets from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Addison Cannon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Reese Hill made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple and one stolen base.

Montgomery County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Fatima, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Montgomery County nor Fatima have any future games scheduled.
