Ellicott's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 40-8 victory over the Peyton Panthers. Considering the Thunderhawks' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Allen Kuhns and Jairus Martin. Kuhns rushed for 131 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry while Martin rushed for 122 yards and two TDs on only 15 carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Martin has posted since back in September.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Ellicott proved: they limited Peyton to a paltry 2.5 yards per carry. The Thunderhawks didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged seven.

Ellicott now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Peyton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

As of now, neither Ellicott nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
