Baseball Recap: Cass Takes a Loss

Cass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Cartersville Hurricanes, falling 18-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, with their most recent loss being a 5-3 defeat on Friday.

Cass' loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Cartersville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Cass will square off against Cedartown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cass is facing Cedartown at the right time seeing as Cedartown is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Cartersville, they will venture away from home to face off against Hiram at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Hiram is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
