Soccer Recap: Bloomfield Starts off Right with Win over Pojoaque Valley

Bloomfield had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes a 10-0 shutout on Friday. Lyla Snell-Martinez was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

This is the second loss in a row for Pojoaque Valley and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Bloomfield didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 win against Taos on the 22nd. As for Pojoaque Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Monte Del Sol Charter on the 23rd.
