Mira Mesa had won eight straight games and Ivorii Seals did her part to make it nine on Friday. The Mira Mesa Marauders snuck past the Brawley Wildcats with a 52-46 win thanks in part to Seals, who posted 31 points along with seven boards and five steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ke'Ajanay Edwards, who had five points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bre Montano, who put up 11 points. Kayleen Pacheco was another key player, putting up ten points.

Mira Mesa's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Brawley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Mira Mesa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 49-45 win against Hoover on the 4th. As for Brawley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-40 victory against Bonita Vista on the 4th.
