Soccer Game Preview: Buchanan vs. Righetti

The Buchanan Bears will face off against the Righetti Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buchanan is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Buchanan's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Clovis East by a score of 2-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Buchanan's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Clovis East are ranked 178th).

Oliva Rea was the driving force of Buchanan's attack as she scored both of Buchanan's goals, bringing her season total up to 15 goals.

Meanwhile, Righetti had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out Arroyo Grande 2-1 on Friday. The result kept Righetti happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 19, 2025.

Righetti's victory bumped their record up to 19-3-3. As for Buchanan, their win bumped their record up to 21-0-1.
