Cherokee Bluff waltzed into their contest  on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Everything went their way against the Jefferson Dragons as they made off with  a  13-5 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six  runs or more this season.
 Landon Kemp made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing 2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 In other pitching news,  Nate Wilson looked comfortable as he  pitched 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. What's more,  he posted three  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in February.
 Back at the plate,  Kaden Thompson was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ethan England, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Cherokee Bluff  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
Cherokee Bluff pushed their record up to 13-8 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Jefferson,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 10-12.
 Cherokee Bluff didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  4-2  victory against Oconee County on the 1st. As for Jefferson, they have also already played their next contest,  a  13-1  win against Monroe Area on the 1st.
