Cherokee Bluff waltzed into their contest on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Everything went their way against the Jefferson Dragons as they made off with a 13-5 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.
Landon Kemp made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other pitching news, Nate Wilson looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.
