Basketball Recap: Wells Comes Up Short

If Wells was riding high fresh off their 48-26 takedown of Coleville on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Leopards took a hard 53-37 fall against the Smith Valley Bulldogs on Saturday. The Leopards were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Wells' loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Smith Valley, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Wells will take on Tonopah at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Smith Valley, they are taking a road trip to square off against Eureka at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Vandals will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
