Soccer Game Preview: Valley vs. Johnston

The Valley Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Johnston Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Valley's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, Valley narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Hoover 2-1. That's two games straight that Valley have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Johnston faced Northwest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Dragons and Wolves finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw.

Valley's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those eight contests. With that draw, Johnston's record moves to 8-4-5.
