Basketball Recap: Centennial's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Centennial won the last time they faced Hawthorne, and Erin Jackson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Centennial Apaches simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Hawthorne Cougars 62-2 thanks in part to Jackson, who dropped a triple-double on 27 points, 18 boards, and ten blocks. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Centennial's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kalia Coleman, who posted nine points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Centennial's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12. As for Hawthorne, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Centennial has already played their next matchup (against Beverly Hills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hawthorne will host Leuzinger at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hawthorne is facing Leuzinger at the right time seeing as Leuzinger is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
