Soccer Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Coronado was the 2-1 winner over Patrick Henry when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Coronado Islanders came up short against the Patrick Henry Patriots on Wednesday, falling 5-1. The Islanders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

This is the second loss in a row for Coronado and nudges their season record down to 2-7-1. As for Patrick Henry, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 7-6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coronado will venture away from home to square off against Academy of Our Lady of Peace at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Patrick Henry, they will head out on the road to face off against La Jolla at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Patrick Henry is facing La Jolla at the right time seeing as La Jolla is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
