Football Recap: Ardrey Kell's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Ardrey Kell dropped to 6-4 on Thursday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They took a hard 28-14 fall against the Providence Panthers. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Ardrey Kell didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Julian Almeida, Aiden Fong, and Donovin Jones picked up one apiece. Fong is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

As for Providence, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.7 points on average over those games.

Providence's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaleb Vines, who rushed for 76 yards and one TD, and also caught one touchdown. Chase Taylor also helped out with an impressive 95 receiving yards.

While Ardrey Kell had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th.
