Soccer Game Preview: DeKalb vs. Woodstock

The DeKalb Barbs will take on the Woodstock Blue Streaks at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

DeKalb is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Rockford East on Thursday. The Barbs and the E-Rabs finished up their matchup with a 3-3 draw.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Woodstock was not quite Woodstock North's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to the Thunder. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, Woodstock couldn't push the score so high this time.

DeKalb's draw gives them a new season record of 5-7-1. As for Woodstock, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 7-6.

DeKalb was able to grind out a solid victory over Woodstock in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Barbs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Streaks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
