The Morse Tigers will challenge the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Morse is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8  runs per game  this season.
It was a proper cat-fight when  Morse took on Liberty Charter on Wednesday. Morse walked away with  an   8-5  win over Liberty Charter.
 Alyssa Truby was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed six innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits. Truby was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs and one  triple. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Beyah Salvador, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3. She also put up a  double, which was her first of the season.  Dana Montero was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
San Dieguito Academy hadn't beaten Santa Fe Christian on the road since March 23, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them  on Wednesday. San Dieguito Academy narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Santa Fe Christian  4-2.
Like Morse, San Dieguito Academy also got a great game from a two-way player:  Lauryn McGarry. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   six  hits. McGarry has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple and two  RBI.
 McGarry wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Willow Wright, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  stolen base. Another  was  Kegan Herceg, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances.
 Morse pushed their record up to 3-2 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for San Dieguito Academy, their victory  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 4-1-1.
