While Roswell's win against North Springs wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hornets narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Spartans 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hornets have posted against the Spartans since March 2, 2018.

Roswell has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 7.5 runs this season. As for North Springs, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Roswell will welcome Mt. Bethel Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Springs, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
