Flint River Academy has won nine straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Central Georgia Arts has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Wildcats will host Central Georgia Arts at 12:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.
Flint River Academy's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over Lafayette Christian. Considering the Wildcats have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Brack Spangler made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sullivan Jones, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Eli Phillips, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Flint River Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lafayette Christian only posted an OBP of .118.
Meanwhile, Central Georgia Arts made easy work of Peachtree Academy on Thursday and carried off a 14-0 win.
Central Georgia Arts got a massive performance out of Anderson Bloodworth, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Bloodworth has become a key player for Central Georgia Arts: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-9 otherwise. Isaiah Bloodworth was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Central Georgia Arts' victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Flint River Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Flint River Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Central Georgia Arts struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Flint River Academy took their victory against Central Georgia Arts in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 9-1 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do Central Georgia Arts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
