Basketball Game Preview: Santana Sultans vs. El Cajon Valley Braves

Santana and El Cajon Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but not for long. The Santana Sultans will welcome the El Cajon Valley Braves at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Santana's defense has only allowed 26.9 points per game this season, so El Cajon Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Friday, Santana earned a 38-28 victory over Valhalla. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sultans.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Sam Mora and Ava Miles. Mora had a solid game and posted 11 points and seven steals. Meanwhile, Miles did her best for the losing side, putting up 16 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, El Cajon Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 35-29 to West Hills. The defeat continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Wolf Pack: they've now lost four in a row.

El Cajon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Santana, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
