Softball Recap: Stone Mountain Takes a Loss

Stone Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Riverdale Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on September 2nd.

Stone Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Riverdale, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Stone Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Mt. Zion on the 25th. As for Riverdale, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Cedar Grove on the 30th.
