Basketball Recap: Brynn Evens and Ella Moses Secure Win for Port Allegany

Port Allegany won the last time they faced Oswayo Valley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Port Allegany Gators secured a 44-39 W over the Oswayo Valley Green Wave.

Port Allegany was led to victory by Ella Moses and Brynn Evens. Moses almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists, while Evens posted 13 points along with seven boards and four blocks. The dominant performance gave Moses a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Errick, who earned nine points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Port Allegany was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Port Allegany's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Oswayo Valley, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

Port Allegany won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Galeton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Port Allegany is facing Galeton at the right time seeing as Galeton is stuck on a 20-game losing streak. As for Oswayo Valley, they will challenge Otto-Eldred at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
