Football Recap: Cedar Creek Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lakeview last Friday, Cedar Creek came back down to earth. The Cougars were beaten by the Loyola College Prep Flyers 64-13 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Flyers: they've now lost four in a row.

Bryce Restovich had a dynamite game For Loyola College Prep., throwing for 327 yards and five TDs while completing 82.4% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Restovich a new career-high in passer rating (162.4). Charlie McKenzie was another key player, picking up 85 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cedar Creek fell to 2-1. As for Loyola College Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Cedar Creek and Loyola College Prep will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cougars will square off against rival Glenbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Loyola College Prep is set to face off against their familiar foe Southwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
