Buford fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Buford Wolves who were credited with the victory on Tuesday. The Buford Wolves got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Berkmar Patriots's four. The win was all the more spectacular given Wolves' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Patriots are ranked 87th).

Buford's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Berkmar, they dropped their record down to 5-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Buford will venture away from home to square off against Mill Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Berkmar, they will host Duluth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
