Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Northgate's Tenth in Last 12 Outings

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Northgate and McIntosh, and Northgate kept the tradition alive. The Vikings never let the Chiefs get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Vikings have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Northgate let Addy Clark and Journey Jackson run wild. Clark went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one triple, while Jackson went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those three RBI gave Clark a new career-high. Ella Grace Kramer was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Northgate has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for McIntosh, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northgate will host Whitewater at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for McIntosh, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against East Coweta at 7:00 p.m. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so the Chiefs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
