Orange Lutheran fell victim to Palos Verdes and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palos Verdes Sea Kings. The loss put an end to the Lancers' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Orange Lutheran fell to 5-1-1. As for Palos Verdes, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Orange Lutheran and Palos Verdes should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Orange Lutheran (ranked 32nd) will meet Millikan (ranked 151st) at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Meanwhile, Palos Verdes will face off against Mira Costa on January 7, 2025 up 176 places (29 vs. 205).
