Basketball Recap: Lower Lake Comes Up Short

Lower Lake lost against Cloverdale back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lower Lake Trojans received a blow as they fell 44-27 to the Cloverdale Eagles.

When it comes to explaining why Lower Lake lost, don't look at Brooke Benson. Despite the final result, she shot 4-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. That's the most points Benson has posted since back in January of 2024.

It was another big night for Amara Galvan, who posted 21 points for Cloverdale. Another player making a difference was Izabella Sanchez, who scored seven points.

Lower Lake dropped their record down to 6-12 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cloverdale, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Lower Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-30 defeat against Kelseyville on the 24th. As for Cloverdale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-46 loss against Middletown on the 24th.
