Basketball Recap: Montgomery Takes a Loss

Montgomery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 47-34 loss to the Bucktail Bucks. That's two games in a row now that the Red Raiders have lost by exactly 13 points.

Montgomery's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Bucktail, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5.

Montgomery will face off against Sullivan County at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for Bucktail, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-16 win against Columbia Montour Vo-Tech on the 8th.
