Basketball Recap: Littlerock Comes Up Short

Littlerock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Knight Hawks 69-18. The Lobos were probably out for revenge after losing 60-10 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Knight found their leader in sophomore Kailah Holley, who went 5 for 8 on her way to 10 points in addition to seven assists and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Beautiful Mcbride, who went 7 of 16 en route to 15 points.

Littlerock's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Knight, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Littlerock will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vasquez at 5:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Knight also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Serrano at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
