Softball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Creekside

Creekside came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the M.L. King Lions get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 21-1 on September 4th.

Rhianna Weaver made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dazire Randle, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Deja Wesley, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Creekside's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for M.L. King, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Coming up, Creekside will face off against Manchester at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday. The Seminoles are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for M.L. King, they will challenge Arabia Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
