Softball Recap: Fort Madison Comes Up Short

Fort Madison blew Mt. Pleasant out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Mt. Pleasant got their revenge. The Bloodhounds fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 11-9. That's two games in a row now that the Bloodhounds have lost by exactly two runs.

Fort Madison has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Mt. Pleasant, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Fort Madison beat the Panthers by a score of 9-6 later that day.
