Basketball Recap: Orleans Skates Past Medora with Ease

Orleans had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their game on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 65-25 win over the Medora Hornets. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orleans to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alex DeWitt, who went 8-for-12 on his way to 18 points. DeWitt is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 54% in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Rylan Crocker, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 17 points.

Orleans was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Medora only two assists.

When it comes to explaining why Medora lost, don't look at Damian Salas. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-11 en route to 15 points.

Orleans has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. Medora has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season.

Orleans will take on Loogootee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Medora does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
