Football Game Preview: Valley Center Hornets vs. Haysville Campus Colts + How To Watch

Valley Center has gone a perfect 5-0 against Haysville Campus recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hornets will face off against the Colts. Valley Center has given up an average of 33.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Valley Center is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Maize on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Hornets took a blow against the Eagles, falling 68-34. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Eagles are ranked second).

Despite their loss, Valley Center saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Connor Thatcher, who threw for 283 yards and four touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. 116 of those passing yards were hauled in by Ray J Logan, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Meanwhile, Haysville Campus had to suffer through a 55-6 loss at the hands of South.

Haysville Campus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Valley Center, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Valley Center against Haysville Campus in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 37-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
