Basketball Game Preview: Mira Costa Mustangs vs. North Saxons

Mira Costa hasn't had much luck against North recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mira Costa Mustangs will host the North Saxons at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Mira Costa strolled past West with points to spare, taking the game 46-32.

Meanwhile, North came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 46-40 victory over the Tartans. The 46-point effort marked the Saxons' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

North has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Mira Costa, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.
