Preview: Liberty Ranch Hawks vs. Millennium Falcons
The Liberty Ranch Hawks and the Millennium Falcons will round out the year against one another at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Liberty Ranch has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Orestimba 57-32. The victory was familiar territory for Liberty Ranch who now have three in a row.
Liberty Ranch can attribute much of their success to Summer Mccoy, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and six steals, and Haley Smith, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Mccoy has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madisyn Robbins, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Millennium beat Salesian College Preparatory 49-37 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Millennium.
Liberty Ranch pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 21.8 points. As for Millennium, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Everything went Liberty Ranch's way against Millennium in their previous matchup back in December of 2016 as Liberty Ranch made off with a 56-34 win. With Liberty Ranch ahead 36-16 at the half, the match was all but over already.
