Soccer Recap: Springville Comes Up Short

After flying high against South Tama County on Thursday, Springville came back down to earth. The Orioles fell just short of the Williamsburg Raiders by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. If Springville were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to Williamsburg when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Springville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for Williamsburg, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1-1.

Coming up, Springville will take on Center Point-Urbana at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Williamsburg, they will square off against West Delaware at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Williamsburg are facing West Delaware at the right time seeing as West Delaware are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
