            Morgantown made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Cabell Midland, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Morgantown blew past Cabell Midland 13-5 on Thursday. That looming  13-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mohigans yet this  season.

Morgantown got a  massive  performance out of  Mason Bowers, who  scored three  runs while going 3-for-4. Those  three  hits gave  Bowers a new career-high.  Jackson Bredeson also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  triple of the season.
 Bowers wasn't the only one working in the  hit department: Morgantown  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least nine  hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Morgantown's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cabell Midland, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 3-3.
 Coming up, Morgantown will square off against St. Albans at 1:00  p.m.  on Friday. St. Albans will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  victory, something Morgantown surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cabell Midland, they will take on Bridgeport at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
