Soccer Game Preview: St. Francis vs. Granite Bay

The St. Francis Troubadours will take on the Granite Bay Grizzlies in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Francis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

St. Francis is headed into the contest without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. Neither they nor Folsom could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Madeline Squaglia was the only thing that stood between St. Francis and a shutout considering she scored both of St. Francis' goals, bringing her season total up to five goals.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Granite Bay's offense. They fell 2-0 to Davis Sr. on Tuesday. The Grizzlies have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Granite Bay's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. With that draw, St. Francis' record moves to 4-0-3.

St. Francis skirted past Granite Bay 1-0 when the teams last played back in March. Will St. Francis repeat their success, or does Granite Bay have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
