Soccer Recap: Woodville-Tompkins Takes a Loss

Woodville-Tompkins's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Liberty County Panthers by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by just one goal.

Mario Zuniga and Chris Varner scored both of Woodville-Tompkins' goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Woodville-Tompkins and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Liberty County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Woodville-Tompkins wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-2 defeat against Benedictine on the 14th. As for Liberty County, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Bradwell Institute on the 18th.
