Baseball Recap: Princeton Comes Up Short

Princeton lost to Newman Central Catholic back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 9-1 to the Comets. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Princeton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Oester, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Princeton's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Newman Central Catholic, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Princeton will challenge rival Hall at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Newman Central Catholic is set to face off against their familiar foe Kewanee at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
