Basketball Recap: Mendocino Takes a Loss

Mendocino was the 30-22 winner over Tomales when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Mendocino Cardinals fell to the Tomales Braves 42-38. The Cardinals' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Avrie Wilson went supernova for Tomales, putting up 25 points. The dominant performance gave Wilson a new career-high in points. Gillian Alves was another key player, earning ten points.

Mendocino's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Tomales, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.

When Mendocino and Tomales next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Mendocino will try to stop Round Valley's three-game winning streak when the meet at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tomales will challenge Grace Christian Academy and their five-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
