Baseball Recap: Eldorado Takes a Loss

Eldorado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Galatia/Thompsonville Bearcats. On the bright side, the eight- run performance marked the Eagles' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Eldorado's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Galatia/Thompsonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eldorado will face off against Carrier Mills-Stonefort at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Galatia/Thompsonville, they will be playing at home against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
