Basketball Recap: Murrieta Valley Takes a Loss

Murrieta Valley was the 60-55 winner over Great Oak when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Murrieta Valley Nighthawks took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Great Oak Wolfpack on Wednesday. The Nighthawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Murrieta Valley's record now sits at 11-8. As for Great Oak, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Murrieta Valley will venture away from home to face off against Murrieta Mesa at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Great Oak, they will head out on the road to square off against Vista Murrieta at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Vista Murrieta will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Great Oak surely won't give up without a fight.
