The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 15 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Dallas Center-Grimes' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Indianola, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.
