Baseball Game Preview: Gainesville Red Elephants vs. Loganville Red Devils

The Gainesville Red Elephants will face off against the Loganville Red Devils at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Gainesville is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight games dating back to last season on Thursday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Hebron Christian.

Cohen Miller put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, CJ Saudarg made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Chase Kiewert was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two doubles.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Loganville and Mill Creek meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Red Devils fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-2.

Gainesville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Loganville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
