Basketball Recap: Jamestown Muskies vs. Cochranton Cardinals
Jamestown lost against Cochranton back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Jamestown Muskies took a 42-26 bruising from the Cochranton Cardinals.
Marley Rodax continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cochranton, putting up ten points in addition to eight steals and seven rebounds. Rodax is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 15 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alaina Shorts, who posted seven points and six boards.
Jamestown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Cochranton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jamestown will welcome Maplewood at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Maplewood will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Jamestown surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cochranton, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Cochranton Cardinals face off against the Saegertown Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
