Recap: Shadow Hills Knights vs. Los Osos Grizzlies

It was a good run, but the Shadow Hills Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 65-45 walloping at the hands of Los Osos. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Shadow Hills has suffered yet this season.

When it comes to explaining why Shadow Hills lost, one person who can't be blamed is Victoria Hyatt. Despite the final result, she scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Hyatt is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Skylah Archer, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Los Osos found their leader in underclassman Jackie Polk, who scored 26 points. Another player making a difference was Destinee Knight, who scored 15 points along with two steals.

Shadow Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Los Osos, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Shadow Hills will head out on the road to square off against Rancho Mirage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rancho Mirage is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Los Osos, they will be playing at home against Etiwanda at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Etiwanda's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
