Basketball Recap: University Prep Academy Takes a Loss

If University Prep Academy was feeling good fresh off their 50-28 takedown of Gunderson last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The University Prep Academy Golden Eagles took a blow against the San Mateo Bearcats on Friday, falling 53-20. The matchup marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, University Prep Academy fell to 4-1. As for San Mateo, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University Prep Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Harbor at 1:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for San Mateo, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the San Mateo Bearcats challenge the Lowell Cardinals at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
