Baseball Recap: Allatoona Makes It 13 in a Row at Home

Allatoona's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Dalton Catamounts. The victory continues a trend for the Buccaneers in their matchups with the Catamounts: they've now won six in a row.

Not much got past Cooper Underwood, who gave up just two hits and racked up 16 Ks to keep Dalton off the board. Those 16 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Underwood.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cruz Paul, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Sam Tomczak was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Allatoona's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Dalton, they moved to 14-4 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.
