Baseball Recap: Clawson Comes Up Short

Clawson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Shrine Catholic, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Trojans fell just short of the Knights by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Joey Campana was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.

Clawson's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10-1. As for Shrine Catholic, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-9.

Clawson and Shrine Catholic should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Trojans will square off against Rose Leadership Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (211 vs. 575). Meanwhile, Shrine Catholic (ranked 215th) will meet Everest Collegiate (ranked 482nd) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
