Basketball Recap: Sayre Takes a Loss

Sayre was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against the Cowanesque Valley Indians, falling 64-21. The defeat was just more heartbreak for the Redskins who fell 48-45 when the teams previously met back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Sayre lost, don't look at Rylee Lantz. Despite the final result, she posted five points and five rebounds.

Sayre's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Cowanesque Valley, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Sayre will be playing at home against Northeast Bradford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cowanesque Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Williamson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
