Baseball Recap: Williamstown Comes Up Short

Williamstown couldn't beat Gloucester Catholic on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Braves lost 11-4 to the Rams. The defeat continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost seven in a row.

Williamstown's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Gloucester Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Williamstown will take on Ocean City at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gloucester Catholic, they will venture away from home to square off against Kingsway at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
